Two rounds of FPL have been played already, but it's still early to say which players are going to be Fantasy Premier League goldmines this season. But of course we can try, isn't that the whole points if fantasy sports, right?
After 2 rounds played it's new Liverpool goalkeeper Simon Mignolet, who's on top of the goalkeeper charts. With 2 clean sheets and a saved penalty shot Mignolet has 22 points to his name. At 5.6M he's a goalkeeper to have.
Concerning defenders it a whole new ballgame. Almost 30 defenders have gathered 10 points or more after 2 played matches in Fantasy Premier League. Top defender right now is Chelseas Ivanovich, with 19 points and 3 matches played. 6.5M, not a bad price for him.
Midfielders are usually the players that make or break your Fantasy Premier League team. And you'll never guess who's on top of that list. Good ol' Frank Lampard. It's like 2009 all over again. He's taken home 16 points in 3 matches. Premier league newbies, Coutinho and Paulinho on the other hand haven't shown too much pointpower yet. Coutinho and Paulinho both have gotten "only" 6 points so far.
Aston Villas Benteke leads the forwards with 20 points, and there we have found a real surprise from Cardiff, Campbell with 18 points. His price 5.6M is a joke, he's almost free!
